Privacy
Your study material belongs on your device. We designed the product around that fact.
What stays local
Prompt sets, your typed responses, recall ratings, session recaps, theme preference, and license token are stored in your browser using IndexedDB or localStorage. We do not receive this study data. You can export it, import it, or clear it from the Library.
What leaves the device
The static app may receive ordinary server request logs needed for security and delivery, such as an IP address, timestamp, requested path, and user agent. We do not add behavioral analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party fonts and scripts.
If you buy or verify a Contour license, your browser contacts the Sociobot billing API. Sociobot and Dodo, the merchant of record, process checkout and license status under their own required payment records. Study prompts and responses are never sent with that request.
Offline cache
The service worker stores the application shell and artwork on your device so the app can open offline. Clear this site’s browser data to remove the cache and all local records.
Your choices
You can use the full study flow without an account or purchase. Export is never paywalled. Browser private mode or storage-clearing settings may remove local data, so download a backup if it matters to you.
